We have a stop-over at Furukawa station and discover the local art display.
And a huge parking lot with many, many taxi cabs.
While we wait for the train to Tokyo, a north-bound train stops at the station.
Furukawa station sign.
Northbound view of all the shinkansen tracks.
Finally our train to Omiya approaches the station.
This is the so-called "New Shuttle" that will take us to the JR railway museum on Omiya.
Looking at Japanese railway history for the year 1968.
JR also has a couple of ferries.
The observation deck of the emperor's train.
The kids enjoy the train simulators.
The museum even has a steam locomotive simulator that is rocking like a real engine.
This simulator is travelling along the Yamanote line in Tokyo.
Railway control center for the kids trains.
And a huge crowd is shopping at the museum's shop.
Funny McDonalds sign with fries.
I hope the McDog doesn't follow the same analogy as the McChicken.
Thomas the train as a large flower display.
Side view on Thomas.
A pretty expensive Kitty is shown in that department store.
And I know a possible buyer for these suitcases, right Gaby?
Our hotel at the airport is already in Christmas mood.
You can't escape Santa Clause and the reindeers.
